Great show
I love the show. It has truly helped change my life. Keep up the great work.
Great topics and very beneficial!!
This is a great podcast with very good topics. It is very beneficial to me while I am working on achieving Financial Independence one step at a time.
Practical steps towards FI
So many great tips. I learn something new and actionable in each show. My husband and I have implemented a lot of these tips in our own life! I love listening to this show.
I like the podcast
Thank you guys. Cool show. Good job. I like the hosts. I like Mindy. Yes, she talks a lot. I got three XXs in my house. It sounds like the Tiki Room, they talk.
Future Generation Leader
Dude, I’m sure Mindy is a great person in real life but good lord she kills the momentum of a great podcast.
Great guests
The show brings very interesting people and discusses nice topics. I wish Mindy could interrupt guests less and share less of her personal stories while they talk, as sometimes this cuts their reasoning and the listeners’ attention.
Sooooo close!
This could be an outstanding podcast! The information is so good, and most of the guests have a lot of enlightening information! There really is just one problem... and it’s been talked about in dozens and dozens of other comments. Mindy.. she makes this podcast so challenging to listen to and I don’t understand how it hasn’t gotten better. I’ve listened to every episode up to this point and there has been almost no improvement which is so sad. Scott is awesome, super fun to listen to, and brings great energy to the the show. Either Mindy just doesn’t read the feedback or doesn’t care but I don’t know how much longer I can listen without her improving or putting someone else in her place.
Very Informational
Very informational show! Scott is great, he keeps the show on topic and asks great questions!
An upbeat show
One of the better finance podcasts by a new generation.
Great podcast
I’ve learned a lot from listening to this podcast. I agree with some of the others Mindy does tend to be outspoken and over powers the show at times but she is also very knowledgeable and has good points. It evens out. Although I think Scott could have his own show and be equally as successful!
Awesome but —Stop bashing Scott’s jokes
- First of all, praise! I have listened to 28 episodes now (holy cow!) and have recommended it to several people and think the content is gold. - HOWEVER. I am frustrated and wish I could have personal words with Mindy on this one point. Look, just because you don’t like Scott’s jokes doesn’t mean that no one else does. Yes, a lot of them are puns and puns are generally awful, But i don’t feel Scott’s are. Like, there were two of his that stood out especially, that made me laugh and I really appreciated that. Red ship blue ship, and beaver wall. I think there were some other jokes that might have been from other guests to, but my point is stop being so negative on jokes you don’t happen to like. There will always be other people that like things that you don’t. While it is one thing to groan if you don’t like a joke, which expresses that it isn’t your style. It is quite another when Scott’s sticks up for himself and says he thinks they’re funny and you always smacked that down with an immediate NO THEY’RE NOT, getting the last word in, Or constantly apologize to guests for his “unfunny” jokes as if they aren’t allowed to form their own opinion, you just enforce yours. I mean, there is a way to do it (expressing your taste) that is kind of joking and silly while getting your point across. But you are hammering, at every chance, your perception that nobody would enjoy his jokes and therefore you are hammering your audience which enjoy his jokes. I just want you to be aware and maybe you can tone that down. Btw, dad jokes are super awful eye rolling groaners. Simple easy puns and such. I feel Scotts jokes are much better and more creative. He’s a funny guy and I really appreciate his presents on the show. This might be a silly thing to write so much about, but I have chemical depression which really kicks me in the backside and anything that can make me laugh is a valuable asset. Also, anything that can make content more engaging or interesting or funny is an asset. Perhaps there is an ADD thing, Struggling with engagement. - Back to praise- overall the show is truly fantastic and brain food. I am cranking through the episodes and formulating plans to overhaul and hack my life. You have awesome guests on the show, a great format, and it truly stunned me that a finance show could be entertaining and not boring! Thank you both and I’m looking forward to listening to the rest! Thank you
Great variety of guests
The variety of guests is the show’s strength. Guests with different backgrounds and different financial journeys keeps the content fresh and unbiased. I feel bad that Mindy’s getting a lot of flack. I love her Midwest accent - I’m from Chicago so it reminds me of home. I think if you don’t get their humor it can feel like the joking goes on for too long. I suggest just editing it down before broadcast. In any case, I think Mindy and Scott really balance each other out. I appreciate that Mindy is more my age, and has a family and that Scott is younger, single and has a different perspective. It gives the show balance. I do agree with other reviewers that I wish there were more women (single or otherwise) on the show.
Great Info, Solid Format, Incredible Intention
Bigger Pockets Money Podcast is a fantastic launch pad for anyone looking to initiate a new trajectory in life - with the intent of moving towards a more fulfilling and comfortable life. The interviews are casual, fairly free form, and the hosts do a great job of highlighting the actionable lessons from each individuals success story to help listeners implement the same tactics in their own financial lives. Some of the guests go a bit extreme for me, but I can honestly say the core messages they provide are truly the seeds of success for anyone looking to escape debt, move towards FI, and reduce or eliminate stress about money. PS - I don’t get all the Mindy hate, either. Keep it up, girl - your enthusiasm is entirely contagious, and equally welcome! -Brian Walsh - Saint Pete, FL
Pretty good.
Good content for those of us in search of FI. Mindy does talk a lot but she adds a lot to Scott’s lack of personality. Good balance. Keep going.
Good show to help focus on FI
I really enjoy the show but there is some room for improvement. Mindy is very energetic but can be a bit overpowering at times. Also, frequently making reference to the fact that Scott is younger is getting a bit old. He’s not that young and Mindy isn’t that old. I hope to see it progress.
Has changed my whole view on personal finances
I have an MBA but this podcast taught me more than that degree ever did especially in regards to finances - not kidding! So much practical information. My fiancé and I are getting married in a few months and a feel like because of your show, we have tangible plan for finances and will eventually be financially independent. I’ve listened to every episode within a couple of months. Thank you Scott and Mindy, so much!!!!!!!
Interesting but speakers need improvement
They could use a voice coach. Too nasally and sounds like they suffer from perpetual stuffy nose. Not pleasant to listen to
Almost perfect
Hey Bigger Pockets, The new podcast is GREAT. The advice and motivation I get from this podcast will make me return time and time again, BUT this is only because this podcast is the only one of its type. My only feed back is for Mindy. Mindy/Bigger Pockets, if you read this, please listen to your own podcast. Mindy tends to give the guest advice... this completely defeats the point of the guest. Mindy I do love your advice but I want to hear the guest. Often when I listen to the podcast I think “is Mindy the guest? She seems to be doing the main bulk of the talking”. Please read this not to think I don’t like the podcast. It’s only so you, Mindy, can grow and so no one steals me/others away to another podcast.
Great Show, Very Informative
Mindy and Scott are great hosts and they have very interesting guests. I make sure to listen every week.
Great show
Super show!! Falls right in line with BiggerPockets, funny, entertaining and informative.
Reviews are misleading and misogynistic
I decided to read through some of the reviews to see how much everyone else loved this podcast. I was dumbfounded to see the negative comments about Mindy. I just completely disagree with what everyone is saying. I guess Mindy’s excitement and love for the topics is being misconstrued? I really dont know, but i find the balance between the two hosts and guest interaction to be great. I would not change a thing.
Such a great podcast.
This show is about so much more than just real estate. There is actionable information in every podcast to help you with finances and motivation. I wouldn’t expect anything less from BiggerPockets.
Yassss!
This is right up my ally!! I’m interested in investing to become financially free. I don’t have desires to buy things that hold me back from that!! Can’t wait to hear the rest!!
5 STAR
Found the podcast after reading Set For Life. Great content, value and constant inspiration to continue the journey to financial independence. Though I am with Mindy on the jokes, kind of annoying. Though for some reason I still listen through them! Lol
